Fights at the IPL

Preity Zinta was involved in a fist fight, no joke:
On Sunday, the Punjab Kings XI edged out the Deccan Chargers by one run at the Wanderers and then senior staff from the two teams enjoyed a fist-fight in the president's lounge, known as the Long Room. Security at the stadium were forced to dial the police after a nasty incident in which one of the team owners suffered a black eye and another senior team official was reprimanded for being blind-drunk and having his young son in tow.
Come to think of it, she did seem to be wearing an awful lot of concealer over her right eye when we chatted the other day. Because that's what me and Preity do, we chat all the time. We're best friends occasionally.

It would have been more interesting if the fight was between players, but this is still something. Who knew the rivalry could extend this far? And here I was, not taking the IPL teams all that seriously.

Heyy Amy,

Totally love your blog. Kinda makes my day. And well there's this reference to another fight the KIngs XI owners have gotten into http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Entertainment/Ness-in-SA-mess/articleshow/4550726.cms ...totally crazy that...

Nestadreams - I believe that is the same fight Amy talked about. TOI just revealed the names that Super sport didn't.

Btw, I wonder why FIP has not caught up on this.

Amy, thats not Zinta who got into the friend. Its her ex-boyfriend, who is a co-owner or rather the actual owner/financier of KXI. He was standing up for an errant front of his who apparently kept spanking another lady member on the bottom - the lady member happened to be the girlfriend/wife of a prominent local figure and shit happened - sheesh!

Absolutely shameful whether it was a drunken brawl or otherwise. These "affluent" people are known to throw their weight around when they're in India because they know they can get away with it.

I knew it wasn't Preity Zinta. I just said it to entertain myself in an otherwise dreary world.

But her ex-boyfriend's close enough. What a funny story, it's almost as good as the one about Lalit and the hooker.

Lalit and the hooker?

Now now, wouldn't you like to know?

Ofcourse.. share the scoop.

Lalit had a really hard night after that Kolkata win. He was all over the place, and the ladies at a bar nearby. One of them was particularly effiminate in his eyes, so he invited her to his hotel for a little fun.

Turns out it was a man. Yeah. You heard it here first.

Lucky Lalit then.. I hear he fancies men..
