Rajasthan Royals vs. Bangalore Royal Challengers and Mumbai Indians vs. Chennai Super Kings.
The tickets sold out within 2 hours. I wonder whether that'll be the case for the rest of the tournament.
The South African players for those two matches are pretty big heavyweights (not literally, of course. Everyone's too sensitised to fat jokes these days. I blame Jesse). It's no wonder the public wanted to turn up to see them. At least 9 saffas will be playing, including:
- Graeme Smith (RR)
- Morne Morkel (RR)
- Tyron Henderson (RR)
- Jacques Kallis (BRC)
- Mark Boucher (BRC)
- Dale Steyn (BRC)
- JP Duminy (MI)
- Makhaya Ntini (CSK)
- Albie Morkel (CSK)
What percentage of the crowd will be Indian, do you think?

65 % of crowd will be of Indian origin, the rest i wouldn't divide for racial reasons ;)
Haha, now then, glad that's settled.
Durban should feature a 75% Indian crowd. I am not sure about this western cape.
Modi stated the reason he wanted the first matches to be here was because of the strong local Indian population. So maybe it's even higher. That's mindblowing.
Yeah thats what I heard that Newlands has a very high Indian population.. still not sure if the other matches will see such high ticket sales.. if they do then we can safely say it is a purely global phenomenon the IPL!
I'd love to see ticket sales taper off quickly until we're seeing practically empty stands, and then an explosion of sales for the finals.
A semi-global phenomenon.
