Apparently I should get back to "using my vibrator and stop trying to get off on cricket".
Apparently I'm a failed journalist (who then decided unemployment and blogging was the thing for them?)
Apparently I'm a stupid bitch who should stop writing about cricket.
Apparently I'm not entitled to an opinion, and everything I say must be backed by statistics and proof.
Apparently I'm a woman and therefore I have no right to be interested in cricket.
Apparently there's a South African out there who hates my disgusting female guts.
Apparently I haven't already had to put up with this shit before in my life.
You know what that makes me want to do?
Blog about cricket.

you forget to include this pertinent logic...
apparently women don't have 'balls'... ;-)
Keep blogging Amy. I, like plenty of others, certainly like your blog.
you get those kind of comments?!
funny, you are one of the better bloggers around! chauvinism at its mightiest probably with those comments then!
@straight point - Haha, however could I forget that one?!
@Adverbin - That's exactly what I intend to do. Thanks for the kind words.
@Ankit - You would not believe how many I've had to put up with. From one particularly vicious person, I believe, but I'm not entirely sure. Chauvinism and misogyny - my idea of fun.
Amy,
that is like it!
keep it up as your idea of fun, I, for sure, have fun coming to your blog!
Hi Amy -
also enjoying your blog; still loyal to Australia myself but appreciating the breadth of your coverage AND the awesome pictures.
on a side note, it would appear Ricky might even have learnt some humility: 'Captain Ricky Ponting has blamed himself for Australia's batting troubles.'
isn't that one of the signs of the end times??
I bet those nasty comments are signed "anonymous" ...if they don't like it, don't read it! Keep up the good work Amy!
Keep going amy.. dont let em stop u!
So you got comments over here telling you all those things?
Well you know people try to get aggressive and stop things when they feel threatened by something better than them. For some people, instead of going up in life, they try to pull others down to their level to even things out. Those losers can't stand things which they know they can't acheive themselves.
So those weird comments are technically compliments to your blog. I am sure they would not waste their time in commenting if they actually thought the blog was bad.
@missjane - Thanks and welcome to the blog! Is that headline in regard to Australia's recent loss in the ODI? Because even then, poor Ricky's not humble enough to take all the blame - he blamed the entire team, particularly the top order. You gotta love this guy at times... Jump back a couple of years and you'd never hear these words leaving his mouth.
@French Sydneysider - You're right, it was a mysterious Anonymous. All the more reason for me to completely disregard what they say and shove it back in their face.
@Q - An insane saffa won't stop me :P
@Rayden - People seem to go a tad over-the-top when they can lurk behind the name of "Anonymous". It's been around for as long as the Internet has, and it's really only those people who are pathetic.
Funnily enough, they told me I should be doing "positive things like talking about global warming" instead of blogging about cricket. Seriously.
Hey Amy,
If you stop blogging where does one go for their Albie fix? If they're too gutless to leave their name they aren't worth the worry! Keep up the awesome work.
Esra, without me, I fear there would be no blog with a focus on Albie. The thought is terrifying.
Entirely with you in regard to it not being worth the worry to take these people seriously. I am over being criticised for having the balls to say what I think. Oh, there we go again, with the "balls"...
Amy
I love your blog, full of humour. Keep it up!
SA SUPPORTER
Thanks. Seeing that last line almost makes me feel like a traitor for not supporting Australia in this series. haha.
But I'll live.
We have so much in common. Except for the fact that you are a woman, and I am a man. Also I live in South Africa. Oh, and I'm not totally against AB "prays all day and preaches all night" de Villiers.
But I do love Albie, and Chennai are my side. I watched them lose that final in agony last year. This year - CSK are going to take it down. Love your work.
Don't listen to an idiot like that Amy! Your writing is fantastic, I don't think I've ever laughed so much when reading a cricket blog as I did when reading your post about Jacques Kallis' website! Hillarious, keep it up!
@Alex - My big secret is that I'm not totally against AB either. He's just too much of a caricature to seem real. I've never heard of a more positive person in my life.
But hurrah for Albie fans! And CSK.
@Andrew - Haha, thanks! I feel a Mark Boucher one coming on, but it'll be more kind. If I can manage that.
I think its the opera glasses, Guys get spooked out by them. Certainly not me. I'm not a sissy like that.

Damith, I see now. I've had troubles like this before. A great night out, bring the guy back to my home, and BAM! He's confronted by dozens of opera glasses in trophy cabinets all around my house.
I don't know what to do. Counselling doesn't seem to be helping.
hey amy,
love your blog,
may your detractors eat horse poop.....
keep bloggin gal!
Horse poop, I like it.
Keep up the good work, one of the funniest Blogs I've read!
Cheers, thanks for the support :)
