Michael Clarke Question of the Day

I can't say who won yesterday's. Probably everyone, or Esra by default. Just remember that everyone's a winner because they participate. Gosh, I'm good. Today's QotD will require you to know Clarke inside out and to even be able to figure out the link between a photo and events that have occurred in his life. Can you do it? Let's find out:

What is Michael Clarke doing in the following photo?

And no, it's not just celebrating his century. There's something significant about this photo. Do you remember what?

By the way, apparently Mitch Johnson proposed to Jessica of the famous underwear. I have it on good authority that Clarke smugly called Mitch a copycat.

[still sobbing]

Hold on a minute...this don't make sense. If you're asking the questions, it means you know the answers right? So that makes you the Clarke expert. Why do you know so much about him Ames?....or should I say Lara?

[sobbing continues]

I only know totally inane stuff about Clarke, and some real facts and figures. The inane stuff is what makes it onto these posts.

But I do have to do some research to get the photos, of course.

Dang, Q beat me to it. Damn life keeping me away from here! But I'm going to out knowledge Q, because I have a competitive urge.

He dedicated his 100 in the West Indies (at the Vivian Richards ground) to Lara's dad Graham after he lost his battle with cancer. Pup missed the first match of the series to be with Lara.

I knew that Esra but I didn't think that the elaboration was required by the question.

But since you're being competitive, I will also take that plunge.

That was Clarke's first series and also his first innings as Australia's official Vice Captain.

Also that was his first test 100 out of Australia since his debut test in India.

Okay, well, thanks for the details both of you, but I do believe Q got the answer.

Sorry Esra, time got the better of you. Don't give up, Ryan Campbell had no idea what the answer to this one was.

Bugger. Well played Q! Thanks Amy for the reassurance that I'm not yet Ryan Campbell. My world can continue.

It's ok actually, I went to a quiz night at the pub and there was a question about pup, which I knew. So I feel better.

What was the question?

Who's the Australian cricket team vice captain? And none of my mates knew the answer!

Jesus, clearly I'm asking all the wrong questions for the expert competition.

No Amy, you're proving I didn't waste my school years lusting after my favourite sports stars! My parents thank you, I'm sure.
