"This is not a tennis ball. These things will crack skulls."

I am amused. Last I heard sometime in 07/08, there was going to be a Bollywood movie released with some Aussie cricketers playing a cameo role in it, namely Brett Lee.

But I had no idea the movie had been released when I stumbled across this trailer for the movie. It's so great I have no words for it:

That's alright but even better than it is this excerpt (?) from the movie. I don't really know where it fits in, but it appears to be a song from the movie in which the captains of pretty much every cricketing nation of the world talk about just how great the main character of the film (a young Indian cricketer) is and how they just can't find a way to break his defences. Tony Greig also gets a few words in:

It's just really bloody hilarious.

The movie released long time back and also created a lot of controversies in India.. many claimed it was based on Yuvraj Singh.. Yuvraj came out with a disclaimer, producers held press conferences to say it wasn't.. lots of mud slinging happened.

Movie didn't do too well..

Thats fucking gold. Binga, Slats, Griegy, Smith's "he's the best" said with so much yearning. And Harbhajan. Classic!

Yeah tht was called "Victory" and that was quite an atrocious movie (had the misfortune of actually seeing it ;-))Pretty juvenile in execution and hilarious in many parts. Many cricketers/ commentators acted in this embarassing movie. Well, there has been only one well made Bollywood Cricket movie ever- and that one's called "Lagaan". Check it out if u can..Btw have added you on to our blogroll for cricket blogs http://cricket.superblogroll.com . If you dont mind, plz do add our site to your blog roll as well..

thats not true super blog roll.. there is another one called "Iqbal" and an old one called "Awwal Number", which are also more than decent cricket movies :-)

I have a friend who got me to see Lagaan a few years back. It's pretty good. Very long, though. And all the glory is funnelled down onto the one person, it's hilarious.

I still want Botha to become captain. With all the gay rumours going on I started looking for clues during the matches. He seems really gay. Him running after that ball was very funny. I cant remember the last time I laughed so hard. I found a pic where you can clearly see that he is fatter than Kallis.

The lays.co.za site is up again.

That site is crazy on personality.

The director of this movie grossly underestimated the average Indian's cricket IQ and paid a price for it.
