Roy getting kicked off the World T20 team?

Cricinfo are onto something, and it's going to be revealed within the hour apparently.

Apparently Andrew Symonds may be heading home if the reports are to be believed.

I'm at a loss for words.

EDIT: Here we go, it is relating to alcohol. You'll never learn, Roy.
According to Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland, Symonds broke team rules related to alcohol and other issues, while the captain, Ricky Ponting, is due to address the media in London at 1pm.
Cue the very many jokes to be made at his expense in the next few days.

What did he do this time? Ask Baz where the bloody hell he was on British radio?

Ah, and now he might just lose his central contract. Well done, Roy. It was all worth it for that one drink, wasn't it?

Oh Roy, when will you learn? The media will love this.

Poor stuff from Roy - he's been in the country a whole week, why did it take him so long?

He has a knack for sneding his entire career down the toilet. Good man.

He does have fucking up down to a fine art doesn't he? Would be an interesting press conference to be at!

Hahaha, I posted "sneding". He sneds a lot these days, that Roy.

I do believe that this is cause to fear for Australia's chances in any serious tournament. To some extent, at least.

Why Roy why?

Amy said...

Because it just is.

RIP Andrew Symonds.

Yeah, isn't a good sign. Bet the selectors are glad they picked the ranga for the Ashes!

I guess that means we'll only see him with the Deccan Chargers....

He might still play domestically, who knows. I mean, I don't know anything yet, but damn, this is a shame. The guy could play, and well too.

Apparently he went out to watch the rugby. Damn rugby culture. Clearly infectious. Perhaps rather than alchohol he needs to give up rugby.

Using anger to mask my grief. What a WASTE.

PS AND there goes my ideal Johnson / Symonds / Watson poster line up for the Ashes.

*sniff*

What an idiot loser.

missjane get your facts right, he was never in the Ashes mix.

Bloody State of Origin.

missjane said...

hey Anon, get yours right.

i said *my* ideal Ashes poster line up, not the ACBs.

it would have been possible. the ECB will be taking Hughes out any day now. they've already got to Clark. a few people tripping over cricket balls and voila!

why does CA wait for him to screw shit up instead of being on his case all the time?
I think it's unfair towards him.

Now we know what he means by "IPL trophy was more important than the World Cups".
Seriously, Australia is not that attractive a nation for him, perhaps. Looks like he is not too keen on playing for them as much as for Deccan Chargers.
(I do know personally the power of Hyderabad's hospitality and the non-offensive, placid culture of the place - must have been a great change for Symmo after all the hate that is thrown at him in Oz )

Maybe the Windies will have him.

Actually, the *Poms* would probably have him.

Alternatively, he could go hang out with Ben at Richmond, and talk about the difficulties of being a extremely talented, good looking (formerly) highly paid, sportsman.

He has lost it. He has let go of his last chance to revamp his dwindling career.

what a waste of such a roccking career
