How I laughed

A distinct lack of postage today. Apologies for that, I had a long day in the office. Thankfully, tonight I head back to Sydney, escaping the bitter cold of Canberra for another few weeks. How I despise Winter.

There is one significant thing I'm going to mention, and that is Australia's exit from the World Twenty20. If that isn't the most hilarious thing to happen all tournament (perhaps even slighty funnier than England's loss to the Netherlands) I don't know what is. For all the time they spent not caring about Twenty20, Australia now look like a bunch of idiots. The equivalent of a team like Scotland.

To think that Australia are ranked number 1 in another form of the game.

And another thing. In the closing moments of the match, as Sri Lanka hit the winning runs, I could have sworn Ricky Ponting almost laughed. I would too if I were the captain of a shithouse team. Ajantha Mendis didn't even have to do all too much to make the Australians bow down to him.

Ireland are also in the Super Eights. This tournament is possibly the strangest thing to occur since glow-in-the-dark rabbits.

Ajit Agarkar is doing the chicken dance as we speak to celebrate the Aussie shit-eating contest on TV.

"It's an opportunity to glide through the tournament like a shark" -
David Hussey uses an interesting analogy to sum up his team's upcoming game against Sri Lanka

"It's an opportunity to flounder and sink in the tournament like a dead blubbery whale". There you go - fixed that for you.

It was too funny to stop watching. I went to work this morning without going to bed, but it was worth it!

Australia are losing the plot, at this rate the English must be thinking they can win the ashes.

Enjoy the road/ flight out of Canberra, I found it to be the best part of the place.

As much as I loved seeing Aus beaten out of the WC during the 1st round, I have to admit seeing Holland beat Eng was priceless.

man the england team was worse than the kolkata knight riders....

hey amy .hows it girl?

Ajit Agarkar differs in opinion with Madiha. Ajit Agarkar says Kolkata Knight Riders didn't actually lose, but won in a different dimension which we simple human beings cannot comprehend.

Amy winter doesn't have a capital letter.

Well, I'm shifting my allegiance to Holland. They have Nannes, an Australian coach, AND (most important) they beat England. Embarrassingly.

Even better, they don't even need to win, they just need to not lose by too much.

De Grooth is awesome! I'm backing Holland as well. Sorry Stani.

Winter's much colder in Canberra than Sydney... maybe even a bit like London.

Amy, are you a fan of fireworks as well as opera glasses?

Rob, haha, point taken. But during my teens, I regularly got chilblains in what some people might consider mild weather. Above 10 degrees Celsius.

SP, yeah, Ricky's not the smartest of captains, that's for sure. But he's crazy as shit and determined to win after exactly a loss like this.

Christopher, it is indeed.

Fark, the chicken dance is classier than that. It deserves to be performed on more worthy occasions.

Alex, sweet Jesus, he can't possibly have said that? Dave Hussey? But great editing there, it almost sounds more authentic than the original shark comment. If, of course, the original comment weren't so stupid.

Jean-Claude, cheers.

Esra, I don't think Australia will let a T20 loss get to them at all. They'll just be on their merry way again.

Madiha, good, you keeping up the Bouch loving?

Anon, and that sentence needs a comma, but seeing as we're not being picky here, I'll let it slide.

MJ, and because they're the underdogs. Everyone loves the underdogs.

Boncam, so a match between Holland and SA. Who do you pick?

Jonathan, haha, you bet. But to be honest, I've never liked opera glasses anyway. Horrid little awkward things. Terrible for watching the cricket, despite my claims.

Fuck, its just as cold in Jozi.

Amy, you actually asked that? SA, I will always stand by them.

Seeing that you are supporting NZ, Peter Borren from The Netherlands was born in Canterbury.
