Mighty losses

So Australia lost.

And Bangalore lost.

I won't mention anything about that first loss, but Gilly was absolutely smoking out there. So was Rohit Sharma, of course, but Gilchrist was amazing. We'll be seeing a lot more of this in the matches to come.

Jesse was out for a duck. Something is seriously wrong with him. KP was out on 11, but he took 2 wickets so he's probably secretly pleased with himself. But not as pleased as Dravid who's showing he's the real rock of the team. He made 48, and Kohli made a half century to save face for Bangalore.

I still can't believe Dravid is playing like he is.. haha my wildest dream come true!

now if only bangalore would win. wonder why kp isn't firing?

He's determined not to prove his $1.5 million worth.

Rather inexplicably, I do want him to succeed in the IPL, so we'll see how that goes... Dravid's busy being awesome with the bat. It's probably a relief for him, considering how people view him as a limited overs player.

Poor KP.

Almost the entire top order seems to be different from the last year and still the story is the same... Uthappa/Jesse/KP are limited over specialists???? I only Uthappa/KP/Kallis had strike rates of 133-150 against DC, BRC might have won. Incidentally, KP's performance seems to be on par with his career T20 record. So whence $1.55 mill??
Steyn's performance remains as bad as it was last year. So he still looks on IPL as a vacation???

Not only a vacation, but a paid vacation. He must be kicking back in his hotel sipping on a cocktail right now.

Kohli has impressed me, good young talent. But I want to see ROFL. He'd solve all their problems.

Kohli impressed last year as well. So did Srivats Goswami, who has been forgotten this year. Maybe he should replace Uthappa.

Wouldn't Boucher be a better replacement for Uthappa? Good with the gloves and bat (if his head is screwed on correctly!)

Boucher is certainly the best keeper for BRC. But I would choose Ryder, KP, Van der Merwe (ROFL?), Steyn as the 4 foreign players.

You picked the nickname well, adverbin.

Bouch is the top choice for keeper, but this quota on foreign players messes that up a little. Good four, though. I think that would be the best choice under these circumstances (unless Ryder goes for another low score, in which case it would be time to test out another player).
