Australia's 2020 Spin Summit

Clever joke, that.

Yes, it's official. Australians are running low on quality spinners who can make it in the international arena. Yes, it's official. We've realised how strangely dire this situation is. Yes, it's official. Cricket Australia is freaking the fuck out about it.

So much so that we're now going to hold a spin summit to face and/or discuss this issue. They're already sending out the invites. Terry Jenner and John Davison are all going, and you should too. Tough times call for tough measures, like having a pansy summit to talk about our feelings regarding spin.

Venue: Cricket Australia Centre of Excellence, Brisbane
Date: Sometime later this year, WE HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT YET

The spin problem is apparently so much more real now.

WRONG 2020 SUMMIT.

England would be happy to loan Australia a spinner for the Ashes. I believe Richard Dawson is available.

You're far too funny, but I'm sure we'll pass. Even we're not that desperate yet. But if we ever do go looking for quality spinners, our first stop is some 10 year old off Australia's Got Talent who plays the yoyo. Quite useful, really.

Maybe they could just buy a truckload of those colour coded balls Shane Warne put his name to a few years back. They had the finger positions for all the deliveries on them. Do they still make them??

That's a good one. I'm going to recommend you're allowed to the summit too because in all of this spin trouble, you seem to have the best ideas of all.

If they don't make them, I'm sure they'll start.
